CLAT

About CLAT :

Started in 2008, the CLAT exam is an All India Entrance Examination conducted by 19 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their Undergraduate (LL.B) and Postgraduate (LL.M.) degree programs.

CLAT is an Objective Test Covering English, GK, Elementary Maths, and Logical Reasoning & Legal Aptitude.

There are 200 Questions of 1 Mark each with 1/4th negative marking in case of a wrong answer.

Last year, In CLAT-2017, Total 50000+ Students appeared in the exam for around 2300+ Seats of 18 National Law Universities (NLUs). Students preparing for CLAT can also appear and perform well in other Law Entrance Examinations like All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), etc.

Eligibility for Under-Graduate Programs :
A candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC and PWD). Candidates who have appeared in the 10+2 examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in the test. There will be no Upper age limit for the candidates appearing for CLAT. The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination at the time of his/her admission and be able to submit its proof (Subject to State reservation at the University concerned).
